What perfect timing! I just finished rereading the Fahrenheit 451 novel just a couple of days ago, and then I received the notification that the graphic novel was available at my local library!
Needless to say, I dove in immediately.
My Thoughts on Fahrenheit 451: The Authorized Adaptation by Tim Hamilton
This review is going to be quite short, as I only have a few things to say about this adaptation:
- I thought that this graphic novel captured the tone of the original novel very well.
- I loved that it stayed true to the original storyline.
- The artwork and color palette was lovely and set the perfect atmosphere. Some pages were dark and dreary, others were vibrant and hot!
- My god, seeing the hound drawn out was incredibly spooky!
Just check out use of color on these two spreads:
My Final Thoughts on Fahrenheit 451: The Authorized Adaptation
I’ll admit, I had my hopes up really high for this book… And I am so happy to say that it did not disappoint. I thought this was an absolutely incredible adaptation!

Thanks for reading!
If you had to choose just one book to memorize, otherwise it would be forever lost to the world, what book would you pick?

I read Fahrenheit 451 in high school, but never saw the movie, although now I see HBO is adapting it into a new movie. The images from the graphic novel are really impressive. I always seem to confuse it with Soylent Green.

I cannot wait to see the new movie! 🙂
