Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer, where you answer a question and join a “hop”. The purpose is to help bloggers discover and get to know one another.
For this week’s question, Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews asks:
What is your favorite part of blogging? Is there a least favorite part of blogging?
My answer:
My favorite part of book blogging is simply making connections. Since I have started this blog, I’ve met so many wonderful bookish friends from all areas of the books world; fellow readers, book bloggers, booktubers, publishers, and authors! I’m so thankful for all of these connections and I love engaging with you all!
As for my least favorite element, I have to say that the spam is so very tiring. I get spammy comments almost daily. Of course I delete the comment, and then block the commenter. But it just irks me.
Thanks for reading!
What is your personal favorite part of blogging? I’d love to hear about it in the comments section below!

I think being a part of the community is one of my favorite parts of blogging. When I first started, I didn't think anyone would actually read my blog, but now I really feel like a part of a group. Even if we don't know each other personally, there's still a sense of camaraderie.

Same here!! And I always get SO excited when I see that my favorite bloggers are all commenting on one another content. It's such a warm and fuzzy feeling thinking about the community!

I rarely get spammy comments on my blog, but the email spam (things I've specifically stated I do not wish to receive in my inbox for the blog) is super annoying, and it seems never-ending.
Have a great weekend. – Katie

Oh gosh, yeah, spam emails are the worst! I'm very quick to flag emails as spam when I didn't sign up for them!

I used to get a lot of spammy comments on my blog, but then all of a sudden, the comments slowed down, and now I don't get very many of them anymore.
Erica Hatch says
Oh, interesting! I wonder what changed!

The book blogging community is really great and one of the best parts of blogging! Luckily, most of my spam comments get blocked, so that's a headache I don't have to deal with often. I also just love writing for pleasure again because It's been such a long time since I've written outside of an academic setting.

I get so many spammy comments these days. I've actually gotten into a bad habit of not checking my spam folder on a regular basis because it's so tiring having to sort through them for legitimate comments. Unfortunately that means I end up responding to some comments weeks later. On WordPress you can't block spammers, so I get some of the same comments over and over again. Ugh.
Erica Hatch says
Ugh that's so frustrating!!
