The Creeps by Fran Krause was another wonderful collection of illustrated fears that range from silly, to horribly sad, to absolutely terrifying!
I had previously read Deep Dark Fears, also by Fran Krause. When I went onto Goodreads to record my review, I was thrilled to see that there was another Deep Dark Fears collection! When my library hold finally came in, I couldn’t wait to crack it open!
My Thoughts on The Creeps by Fran Krause
The first few fears that were included weren’t super interesting to me, but then I was suddenly loving them all!
I found it really interesting that there were a couple of fears that covered more than just a couple of pages, and that the artwork filled the full page and that the text was mixed in with the items in the story such as this one:
Here are some of my favorites that were included in this collection:
My Final Thoughts on The Creeps
Another awesome collection that I would definitely recommend checking out! And of course, if you haven’t yet discovered the Deep Dark Fears Instagram feed, I highly recommend it!

This looks and sounds awesome and the sleeping so trees won't fall on you sounds totally like something I would have tried to figure out as a child. We lived near a railroad track and I was always worried if the train derailed, what part of the house would it hit (Dad assured me none).

Right?! Oh my gosh! That's terrifying!

I’ve been debating reading these. Maybe they’d be good to save for next October’s readathon. I didn’t get to participate this month and GNs are great for readathons.

Definitely!! You'd cruise right through them! 🙂

Glad you enjoyed this one! I actually haven't heard of these, but I'm going to see if my library has them.
Have you read Are You Scared, Darth Vader? I just received it for a blog tour (though it was released a few months ago), and it was awesome! Perfect for this time of the year.

I like what they've done here with the book and reading it has made me smile so I think I would be able to like this one too.
