Cryptid Club by Sarah Andersen is a collection of the most adorable and funny comics about cryptids.

My sister-in-law, Aja, was my Secret Santa in 2022 and gifted me this book! After opening it, I just couldn’t wait to check it out.

My Thoughts on Cryptid Club by Sarah Andersen

My goodness, Sarah covers a lovely variety of cryptids here! Some of my favorites included Mothman, Sam (aka Big Foot), Nessie, and the Ghosts!

While each page stands on its own as a contained story in one comic, I really love that Sarah organizes the book in a way where some of the panels play off one another later on, or even continues their storyline. Not only that, throughout this collection, readers will also see how each cryptid knows the next! What a cool thought it is to think of all of these beings as friends.

So many of these comics were so heartwarming, some made me laugh wicked hard, and others made me feel bad for the little cryptids.

A true joy from start to finish. I know I will be picking this one up time and time again when I need a laugh.

If you are interested in cryptids, you’re going to absolutely love this one! If you’re not, there’s a wonderful index at the back of the book that tells you more about each one. I highly recommend checking it out!
