As I was still trying to get into the swing of things being a working mom, my reading and blogging were a bit quieter this month. But even so, I was excited that I was able to read and review six books that I absolutely loved!
On a personal note, this month marked the very first time I left the house alone for something other than a grocery order pickup since October! I met up with a friend at a cafe in Nashua and had a blast catching up. Alex and I also had our first quick lunch date alone while Wade was with his grandparents, then later ran errands together while my mom watched Wade. I’m getting more comfortable bringing the baby out with me too! While my mom was visiting, we went shopping and I wore Wade in a baby carrier and he absolutely loved it.
Let’s dive into the rest of my recap!

Monthly bookish-haul:
Welp. I just had to break my book-buying ban again this month for a book I’ve been searching for since I first missed the limited edition run. One day this month, it popped up on my PangoBooks saved search and I got it for under twenty dollars! The other book I acquired was from the publisher. So overall, not too bad when compared to most months in 2023!
The books I acquired this month were:
- Sallow Bend by Alan Baxter
- This Skin Was Once Mine and Other Disturbances by Eric LaRocca

Thanks for reading!
