So, full disclosure here… I have never actually subscribed to a monthly box from any company. I just can’t personally justify paying the price for a box of things that I may or may not like at this point in my life. I do love bookish themed goodies! But I’m very OCD when it comes to clutter and organizing our small town house. Perhaps one day, when our budget allows, I will give a subscription box a try. We shall see!
Of course I have watched many unboxings here and there on YouTube. But to be totally honest, I stopped watching the videos a while back after realizing that I just didn’t really care about them. The only time I will watch an unboxing now, is when the YouTuber gives the theme of the box right in the video title, and this theme is something that actually interests me.
However, there are two unboxing videos that I watched months ago that have really stuck in my mind.
These videos include:
- Hailey In Bookend’s November OwlCrate Unboxing, which was a Wonderland theme.
- ChapterStackss’ Nocturnal Reader’s Box Unboxing, which had an awesome horror theme.
How lovely are those?! I would have definitely wanted to snag those two boxes if they were still available!

I love this post. Hmmm… If I could choose a theme, it would be one about the runaway book lover. I would include a cozy mystery about a bookstore, a candle with a new book scent, Earl Grey tea bags, a mug from Book Riot (the one with the library checkout list), a mixtape of Harry Potter music, and a valise (any design, prefer something Hermione would carry).
That was fun!

I really want to do this soon! It looks like so much fun. I am worried it'll make me want all the bookish merchandise though haha! Great picks Erica! I feel like if I saw any of these in a store they'd remind me of you.

It was a TON of fun!! Narrowing down my ideas to one specific topic was incredibly difficult though!
