Ah, the end of February always sneaks up on me. This month was so insanely busy, but overall it was a good month!
My new job is going very well. I absolutely love the company I work for. Alex and I celebrated our 4 year dateaversary. Wedding plans are slowly coming together. The Walk Dead returned. And the best part of my month, my stress levels are down! My stress level still isn’t exactly where I want it to be… but compared to where things were this time last month, I’m in a much better place!
My reading took a bit of a hit this month though. I’m behind in my honest reviews again, but I’m hoping to catch back up this month!
Let’s dive in to my monthly wrap-up!
My Reading Breakdown for February:
- 5 Stars- 3
- 4 Stars- 2
- 3 Stars- 0
- 2 Stars- 3
- Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel
- The Lying Game by Ruth Ware
- The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
- 1 Star- 1
- DNF- 0
Monthly Musings:
- Watching:
- Black Panther (2018 Film)
- I liked literally everything about this film. There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like! For a first movie in this characters story arc, I thought it was especially incredible. It gave just enough backstory without straying into info-dumping or falling short and being confusing like other superhero movies. The casting and acting was awesome. The soundtrack was beyond perfect and I loved that the main characters song kept coming into play. The camera work flowed well and the colors were stunning. The special effects were also juuuust right, not too overdone like Wonder Woman or Civil War. 5/5

Sounds like February was a great month all around and I'm glad your stress levels are going down. I'm also glad to see Space Dumplins as one of your 5/5 reads. You know, February is our dateaversary month well but it's been much longer than 4 years π I bet you are thrilled to have your wedding grow closer and closer and I do hope you share some pics. Our wedding was rather small and I am very grateful. I still have to see The Black Panther. Hope you have a wonderful March!
